When I am not playing sports or learning new skills, I enjoy tutoring students in statistics. I like statistics in comparison to algebra because it can be used in a variety of different fields of study. Being able to determine if a company is using misleading statistics can also help you in your personal life, in regards to shopping. The roots of statistics spread throughout data in every profession. Having the skills to be proficient at compiling the information you receive in your daily life and translating it to make the correct choice is why Statistics is so important.
I took Elementary Statistics during my Freshman year of College and received an A for the class. My teacher was impressed with my knowledge of statistics and when she was asked by the school she recommended me for the position as a Statistics tutor in the Math lab. She believe that I had the skills in order to guide and teach other students how to do Elementary Statistics (STA2023).
