Steve is unbelievable! My son was struggling with Calculus and in two or three session he brought his confidence up and his grade to a B! Steve asks great questions to make my son think, he builds my son's confidence AND Steve builds rapport and humor into the sessions.
My son is very picky about tutors, and frankly did not learn a whole lot from others, and really did not want to do this. He now willingly goes, and seems much more engaged with his homework! His math teacher even commented regarding the difference. We will continue this weekly for the rest of the year!
You would be lucky to get this tutor!
We are so lucky to work with you Steve
You are a perfect teacher for everyone in high school and college.
Both of my kids love to work with you .
We have used other tutors in the past, but Steven has been the best. He is tutoring our son in college statistics. He relates well with his students and really helps you understand the concepts. Highly recommend Steven.
Steve did an outstanding job with some electronics math. I was previously unable to find anyone with any level of expertise in this field. I would certainly reach out to Steve again.
Steve help Jaleel with algebra, he was good with him. I really like him n Jaleel like him also. He will be working with online. Steve was good and show him to solve problem it was very easy for him to understand him and to solve the work.
Helped me to better understand the process of statistics. He was really patient with all of the difficulties starting out. He showed me how to set up my screen so that he could better help me.
Thank you, Patricia! It was a pleasure working with you.
Steve helped me work through a solving a chi-square using a raw data set. Explained things in a great manner that was easy to follow and understand. Would highly recommend to anyone struggling or just needing a little extra help with statistics.
Thank you Roxanna! I enjoyed helping you with your data set.
Steve really helped my daughter understand the material in a way that she had not been able to just going to her teacher at school. She feels much more confident about her abilities now and has a renewed sense of energy about the class. In one session Steve was able to identify areas where my daughter was missing information to be successful with the class work, help her to work through the problems with additional skills, and help her integrate these skills into further course work that will come up in the future. I have a lot of confidence in Steve's ability to teach the material and also supplement what is taught in class in order to boost my daughter's grades and confidence in herself. Thank you, Steve!
Thank you, Nicole! I enjoyed working with your daughter and am glad to hear that she is doing very well in class.
Steve has been helping me through pre-calc with my homework as well as preparing for tests. I truly appreciate the lengths that he has gone when guiding me through a problem. He has sent me links to outside sources with more example and explanations as well as explained how to solve problems step by step with detail and precision. He will make sure that you understand the material. I also appreciate his flexibility and availability with his schedule. I find it very easy to ask for help when I need it and he responds right away to schedule appointments. I really enjoy working with Steve and I always leave his lessons with a better understanding of the material we worked on.
Thank you Sophia! You are a highly focused student and a pleasure to work with. Nice job!
In just one session Steve was able to help my daughter increase her confidence. She took a quiz two days after Steve met with her and got an A-. She credits Steve with the increase from B's to A's.
Thank you Michelle! As a math coach, I can only help students that want to excel. She is a quick study and I credit her with her success.
Steve V. is a great tutor to work with. I asked him for some assistance in circuits homework and he was able help me understand the homework by reiterating the fundamentals that he learned when he was taught the class. "ELI THE ICE MAN", I will never forget. If he doesn't understand the problem at hand he works with you in either your textbook or his own textbook to find examples to tackle your homework or tough concepts. He also is very knowledgeable in Controls Systems and PLC programming, and we ended up having a great talk about that too. I highly recommend Steve V. as a tutor in the Everett/Mukilteo area. Thanks Steve.
My son is a junior student. He is with Mr. Steve V. since four months. Steve is a very good teacher who doesn't stop pushing my son to study hard on the calculus. I recommend Mr. Steve V. To any student who needs help in maths.
Steve is patient, a genius, laid back and has a great sense of humor. When I work with him I learn but it never feels like work. He's the best!
I really enjoyed having Steve as a tutor. He is patient and knowledgeable and explains in away that I can understand. Stats is a very challenging class and Steve has given me better tools to help understand. His schedule was very flexible and I had no issues with scheduling or getting time with him when needed.
In just a few weeks Dr. V helped my son improve his grade. Dr. V is encouraging and likes to see students make progress in their math. It is very apparent he enjoys teaching and loves math. He keeps my son engaged in the conversation and allows him to express himself. We look forward to seeing our son's grade increase over the course of the next few months.
Steve has a great approach on "coaching" math and is very knowledgeable. I'm very pleased to meet him and I could see the improvement on my son's confidence and he enjoys his session with him.
I really enjoy working with Mr. V. He is a very patient and down to earth tutor. I never once felt uncomfortable or intimidated while working with him. He will go out of his way to make sure that you learn the material, and his personality makes it very easy to work with him.He is very knowledgeable with analytical problems, and will offer many useful resources to reference for additional support. I would recommend him to anyone that is in need of a great tutor !
Steve helped work with me on an electrical circuit and the Laplace transform. He also referred me to some helpful websites.
Does a great job synthesizing data, identifying relationship and making sense of outcomes. Great help with Master paper identifying two way ANOVA.
Dr. Steve genuinely cares about his students and helping them to the best of his ability. So far he has been an engaging and funny tutor.
He helped me out with some graduate Statistics work, and worked through it with me even though the content was relatively new to him, and ultimately helped me through it. Even after the hour of tutoring he kept in contact with me to help me out with the homework. Definitely a good tutor!
Very knowledgeable and helpful. He pushes the student to learn. He tries to make himself available no matter the time. That really comes in handy when you are in the college level, with a job, family and a schedule as hectic as mine is
I was late 15 minutes for our session but Mr. Steve was so kind to wait for me. He has a nice and funny personality. I had a question related to a lecture that I didn't attend in discrete mathematics. He walked me through each step in answering the question and explained it very clearly.
Steve covered the concepts clearly and with just the right amount of detail. He understands my purpose for the tutoring and does not deviate from that purpose.
I am so glad that we were referred to WyzAnt, and that Steve is willing to devote his time to helping others.
Steve has helped my daughter's math confidence soar and is also helping her master the SAT math portion. Very positive and motives his students
Steve jumped right in and made my son feel comfortable. He's an excellent tutor for anyone needing assistant in math.
Steve was able to guide me through my work, instead of doing it for me. He was able to recognize my mistakes and then correct any issues I had with my work.
Steve went over the basics of Stats with me, and the way he did it actually got through to me. His teaching led to the first class where I could actually keep up and understand what we were talking about. Highly recommended.
Steve has helped my son discover gaps in his Math skills and remedy them in a patient and enthusiastic environment. Thank you!
Steve is very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He makes a subject like Statistics seem much less terrifying! I highly recommend him.
I really feel like I learned a lot during our sessions! He is great at finding skill gaps and working with you to find your best learning method.
Steve was very patient with me and you could tell he loved the subject. His main goal was to make sure I understood what I was learning. I wish he had been my instructor for the class. I feel blessed for meeting him and having him as a tutor.
Steve is a great tutor being able to give instructions that are both clear and profitable. There are some concerns with availability by phone but 2nd to none in his abilities and ensuring the party he's working with comprehends the work.
Steve was great! He was friendly and helpful. We were able to get to business quickly and I was comfortable with him. He was funny and had a great sense of humor. I recommend him for your tutoring needs!
I gotta say that I was very skeptical about hiring somebody off the internet as a tutor and specially to help me with a subject as hard as Calculus. I am happy to say that Steve was very professional and had a contagious "can-do" attitude. I appreciated his personality because it made me feel at ease almost immediately and I was able to concentrate in learning. There are tutors out there who definitely have the knowledge but are not very good with people and explaining the material (such as my university professor). With Steve, I got the best of both worlds. A+ experience!
She feels more confident about her lessons now! She just needed to understand the basics more! She got that with Steve! He's awesome!
Steve does a very good job of explaining the lesson. I received Statistics, a rather difficult and dull subject and Steve made learning the lesson fun and interesting.
Steve was an awesome tutor. Very helpful, very patient, and broke everything down into simple easy steps so things made sense. If it wasn't for him I probably wouldn't have passed my business statistics class. Even when I thought I was asking silly questions for the basic things you needed to know he stuck with my questions until I understood and really helped me understand the bigger picture. Awesome tutor!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
