Hi, I'm Nyssa! I graduated Marion Technical College with a GED. Throughout my experience with studying the material to succeed in getting the education that I needed, I got help from teachers who were very comprehensible and attentive to my needs. This inspired me to help others when it came to their education, especially those who are struggling to understand the material. It also inspired me to give students motivation and positive feedback considering that those two things help students see the positive in doing their schoolwork.
I've worked with high school students several months while volunteering as a tutor and have adapted to their nature of learning and helped them fix the topics that they were having trouble understanding. I helped them with Language Arts, Math, Science, and History. I gave them the motivation which helped them succeed in getting their high school diploma. I was also patient with them and talked them through the problems which they were having with their schoolwork. I've came up with different strategies to help those struggling kids to learn the material they need which helped them get passing grades.
