Hello, I'm Erin! I've been teaching in middle and high schools since 2006. Over the years, I've taught Reading, Intensive Reading, Business, Culinary and Special Education. I'm also a Mom to three teenagers...which helps me to understand the challenge of the parenting aspects when it comes to helping support our children learn.
A handful of years ago, I made the transition to a Special Education setting as a Resource Teacher, supporting curriculum in all subjects. I work with neurodiverse students on a variety of topics. Even more important than their classwork, we focus a lot of attention on Executive Functioning skills. My goal is to work with my students and ensure that they will become a productive member of society - no matter their IQ or ability. Some students on my caseload will have absolutely no problem transitioning into the workforce, while others will need support with time management, organization and social skills. I love my job and know that there are more students out there who can also benefit from working on these skills outside of a traditional school setting.
Thank you for this opportunity! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you thrive both in and out of the classroom.
