I am a PhD mechanical engineer and experienced tutor with a passion for both mathematics and Arabic language instruction. I hold a doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a master's degree in Industrial Engineering, and I have been tutoring formally and informally for over two years, working with university students, high schoolers, and elementary learners in one-on-one and small group settings.

For mathematics, I tutor grades 4 through 7 and algebra, and I am comfortable working with any curriculum — including Math Mammoth, Saxon, Singapore Math, or whatever your school uses. My hands-on homeschool teaching experience combined with my engineering background gives me a deep, practical understanding of math that helps students not just memorize procedures but truly understand the concepts. I am available for both online and in-person sessions and happy to work with students across the United States online.

For Arabic, I am a native speaker from Saudi Arabia and my instruction centers on the Al-Kitaab textbook series — the same curriculum used in UF's ARA 1130, 1131, 2220, and 2221 courses. I combine grammar drills with real conversational practice, offering authentic pronunciation and cultural context that textbooks alone cannot provide. I am currently based in the Gainesville area and available for both online and in-person sessions.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where advanced mathematics including algebra, calculus, and linear algebra are foundational to the degree. I have hands-on teaching experience with algebra through homeschool instruction, helping students build a strong conceptual foundation rather than just memorizing procedures. My engineering background allows me to connect algebraic concepts to real-world applications, making the subject more intuitive and engaging for students. I work with middle school, high school, and adult learners in both online and in-person settings.
Arabic

Arabic

I am a native Arabic speaker from Saudi Arabia with formal academic training in Arabic language and literature, including Arabic 101 and 201 at the university level. I have been tutoring Arabic for over two years, specializing in the Al-Kitaab textbook series used in university programs including UF's ARA 1130, 1131, 2220, and 2221 courses. As a native speaker with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, I bring both linguistic authenticity and the analytical teaching skills needed to help students master grammar, vocabulary, and conversation. I work with university students, adult learners, and beginners at all levels in both online and in-person settings.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, giving me a deep mastery of mathematics from the ground up. I have direct teaching experience with elementary math through homeschool instruction, using the Math Mammoth curriculum at the 6th and 7th grade levels to build strong number sense, fractions, decimals, and pre-algebra foundations. My approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than relying on memorization, which sets them up for success in higher-level math. I am available for both online and in-person sessions in the Gainesville, FL area.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where mathematics is the foundation of everything I studied and applied professionally. I have hands-on teaching experience with prealgebra through homeschool instruction, helping students master ratios, integers, equations, and the critical thinking skills needed to transition into algebra with confidence. My engineering mindset allows me to present abstract concepts in a concrete, logical way that clicks for students who struggle with traditional instruction. I am available for both online and in-person sessions in the Gainesville, FL area.
