Hi, I’m Jack! I’m an accounting tutor who specializes in helping college students understand accounting, from introductory Financial and Managerial Accounting through more advanced coursework. My goal is to take material that feels overwhelming and break it down into something that finally makes sense.
I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Accounting, and earned a 4.0 across my accounting coursework. I have over 600 hours of teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant for my university’s Financial and Managerial Accounting courses. I led classes of 20–30 students, prepared my own lessons, and held office hours providing both group and one-on-one tutoring.
That experience taught me that students often don’t struggle with accounting because they aren’t capable of learning it. They struggle when the reasoning behind the material stops making sense. That’s where I focus my teaching.
Rather than relying on memorization, I work through problems step by step and focus on why each step works. I pay attention to how you approach problems, identify where your reasoning breaks down, and help you develop a process you can use independently. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, struggling with a difficult chapter, catching up, or simply want to stay ahead, I’ll tailor each session to what you need.
My goal isn’t just to help you get the right answer. It’s to help you understand the process well enough to approach the next problem on your own.
If you need help with Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, or other college-level accounting coursework, send me a message with your class and what you’re working on. We can figure out where you’re getting stuck and build a plan from there.
