Graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BS and MS in Education with an English emphasis. 24 years of classroom experience in California, Illinois and Florida. I was credentialed in all three states. Additionally, I received certification in Illinois and Florida to teach learning disabilities. Having this certification, enabled me to better identify students with learning problems; identifying students who learn and retain information differently. Later in my career, I was hired on as a principal of a Charter School which later enabled me to become a School Management Advisor in the Middle East and Malaysia. My role was to advise administrators on the implementation of English Language Programs in Public Schools. I worked directly with School Principals, and managed an English-speaking staff overseeing classroom instruction in English.
After 61/2 years overseas, I returned to my home in California and began tutoring as an ESL tutor for 12 years.
Currently, I am working with students on-line in ELA, Korean students in ESL, and one-one in person tutoring grades K-adult including special needs.
Recently I received ACT and SAT prep training for high school seniors .
