I love teaching Organic Chemistry so much I wrote a book!

I love teaching organic chemistry. Over years of in-person, virtual, and pre-recorded tutoring, I’ve figured out how to help students really understand the most difficult concepts. For example, I diligently color code my reactions and use consistent, approachable design language so that you can nail down the hard stuff.

During my undergrad, I tutored various subjects, but it was only after I spent a semester as an LA for my organic chemistry professor that I realized my true love was organic chemistry. I was fortunate enough to get a job at a fairly well-known edutech startup and helped them build their organic chemistry department, honing my skills. I recorded thousands of o-chem instructional videos, practice questions, and exam reviews--tailoring each to the unique teaching styles of professors from universities nationwide during my time there.

After graduating from FIU and a few years of full-time work at the startup, I took on a different sort of challenge and went to law school, where I served as an academic success professional (FKA dean’s fellow) and graduated cum laude. I just couldn’t stay away from organic chemistry, though. While others doodled, I found myself drawing radical halogenations and Claisen condensations. Yes, I am a nerd--like, a huge nerd. Not even a full year into law school, I was already designing the first pages of what would become the foundation of the company I helped found. A few years later and the result of hundreds of hours of hard work and the help of several very talented friends, I’ve recently released an Organic Chemistry I Reaction Guide! It feels good to be tutoring O-Chem again!
