I have been tutoring an introductory medical biostatistics course for two semesters, and I'm currently enrolled in medical bio-statistics 2, which covers linear/multiple regressions, etc.. I am a patient and concerned tutor who can engage different learning modalities to ensure that students not only pass their course, but also develop an understanding of the subject matter.
I majored in biology during my undergraduate studies and after completing my MPH degree will be continuing my coursework toward my MD degree. Though I have a passion for this subject matter, it doesn't come easily to me. And it's precisely because I struggle initially to obtain the information, that I think I have a thorough understanding for what it takes to make the content both relatable and accessible.
I understand that people are busy with work, kids, and other priorities. So, I'm willing to meet at night or during lunch breaks. I'm also available to teach the material in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
