My name is Chris!
Born and raised in Miami, I was always fascinated with super heroes that saved the day in numerous TV shows and video games that I held dear to my heart. This sparked my niche journey that led me to become who I am today- an industry professional animator who simultaneously teaches others the joys of movement through martial arts.
My career began when I graduated from Design & Architecture Senior High, an academy that heavily prepares young students for the extremely-competitive world of art and design. From there I traveled to Manhattan to pursue my degree under the teachings of working-industry professionals from companies such as Disney, Cartoon Network, and many more. Since then I have worked under contract on various animated-projects such as music videos, TV shows, and advertisements. To put it simply, the teachings I provide come from a rich and varied history ranging from graphic illustration, to traditional draftsmanship and painting, to feature-film animation.
The nature of self-improvement and trial through error that martial arts provided is what inspired my path as a teacher. I began as a young practitioner of Tae Kwon Do and self-defense for 7 years until I moved to New York to pursue my degree. However, it was here that I learned that the world was vastly bigger than I could have ever imagined and my experience was showing its short-comings. From there on I began expanding my knowledge through arts such as Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai, and MMA; utilizing the best tools possible to properly teach those concerned over their well-being and safety. To bring myself to the next level as an athlete, I also became a certified personal trainer in order to use the universal teachings the study provides and apply it to any form of training. I know first-hand the humbling experiences that martial arts provides and the years of dedication and discipline it takes to dance with the most advanced fighters.
