Hi, I'm Kari. I was born in Venezuela, and came to the United States with a suitcase pretty empty but full of dreams about 20 years ago. My first "encounter" with technology was back in 1997 when working as an assistant at a busy office. Their gigantic printer was always misbehaving but guess what? That is how I discovered my knack for fixing things, one thing led to another, and eventually became the unofficial IT guru for the team.

Hi, I'm Kari. I was born in Venezuela, and came to the United States with a suitcase pretty empty but full of dreams about 20 years ago. My first "encounter" with technology was back in 1997 when working as an assistant at a busy office. Their gigantic printer was always misbehaving but guess what? That is how I discovered my knack for fixing things, one thing led to another, and eventually became the unofficial IT guru for the team.

Whenever I helped someone fixing a computer, software or printer, I felt that was my calling, and I decided to leave my dreams of Nursing school in exchange for helping others with technology. Along the way, these credentials became a reality:

- Bachelor's Degree at Florida International University of Management Information Systems (MIS)

- CompTIA Network + Certification

- Microsoft's MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist) in SQL Server

- Microsoft's MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist) in Visual Basic .NET

Today, I am so excited to see that anyone can build anything they want (Website, Blog, App, Social Media ads) without having to learn the tons of code I once did.

We never stop learning when it comes to technology. I have been able to travel the world, help my family overseas, and guide others that want to pursue a career in IT so now I help others have a better life.

I'm very much looking forward to helping you with your learning needs and that you become as independent and as successful as possible with my help.

My goal is to give you all of the knowledge and tools that I can so you are a success with my classes. With the guidance of my course and myself (yes, the real me not a "Hello World" bot), we will become partners of learning, critical thinking, and success, helping you achieve your dreams with technology as your best friend.

Spanish is my native language, and I have the experience of teaching it with effective learning methods (Hint: a lot of fun and interactivity happens during my classes).

Knowledgeable, efficient, and very friendly.

Karina is an amazing tutor. She helped my daughter polishing her blog post website which was created in WordPress. It took Karina only one session to help my daughter updating contact page and making the website accessible better.
