Experienced Programmer with Graduate Level Mathematics Training

I am currently helping students and industry professionals with programming projects in C, C++, Python, R, Excel and Matlab. Even though I have more than 14 years of programming experience, I am not your typical programmer. I have a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University. This makes me well positioned for helping with analytical projects: systems development which is not just about shiny interfaces to relatively simple algorithms but rather multi-layer calculations placed into an efficient stand-alone encapsulation.

Even though my current professional interests are more on the development side, I have obtained most fundamental education: calculus, analytic & differential geometry, linear algebra, abstract algebra, logic, measure theory, linear operators, probability, optimization, numeric routines, etc.

I work with clients from different fields, from finance to marketing to biotechnology to education. With finance professionals, oftentimes, it is setting up a cashflow spreadsheet in Excel or analyzing a more complex structure in Python. Marketing projects may involve running clustering techniques in R, while requests from biology and medicine may involve setting up an efficient engine in C++ for detecting hidden states.

In terms of timeline I am quite flexible, working early mornings and week-ends. My code is always full of comments and comes with separate detailed documentation.
