I graduated from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a MS in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2017. Following, I took the new MCAT, and excelled in both the Bio/Biochem and Chem/Phys sections. During my studying, I began teaching both a Cell Biology and a Gen Chem/Orgo/Biochem overview course at the University level for Nursing Majors. During my studying, I began teaching both a Cell Biology and a Gen Chem/Orgo/Biochem overview course at the University level for Nursing Majors. I quickly fell in love with teaching and sharing my knowledge with others.

I provide full support for my students, which includes:

- A recording of each session so you can review it at any moment in the future
- A customized dropbox folder that I will upload resources and other helpful documents for you to access at any time
- Support between sessions via text, email, and your customized dropbox folder
- A free introductory phone call, where I identify your learning style, where you are struggling the most, your course structure, and better understand your specific needs so I can be the best tutor possible.

I started tutoring 30+ science subjects because I want to use my knowledge and experience to help students in all stages of their journey learn to love the sciences and achieve their highest potential. I have taught at the university level for over a year and a half, and have had the opportunity to practice this with my students. Through tutoring, I aim to branch out even further and show new students that science can be exciting, interesting, and something everyone can understand! After graduating with my Master of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, I realized I could not have made it there without the many mentors, teachers, and tutors that helped me along the way. I was not always focused on science and academia, especially in high school. However, it was a tutor that showed me a unique way of approaching science, and I have carried that with me ever since.

Coming into college with little background in science, I understand what it is like to build from the ground up - s

Approved Subjects

Biochemistry

Biochemistry

I hold an M.S. in Biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University (2017) and spent 1.5 years teaching it full-time at the university level — both lecture and lab. Since then I've tutored full-time with 8,000+ hours across enzyme kinetics, metabolic pathways, molecular biology, and signal transduction. My focus is on building a connected understanding so material sticks rather than getting re-memorized before every exam.
Biology

Biology

I hold an M.S. in Biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University (2017) and taught Biology full-time at the university level for 1.5 years. With 8,000+ hours and 250+ students, I cover all areas including cell biology, genetics, physiology, anatomy, and microbiology. My approach builds genuine understanding of biological systems so students can reason through material rather than rely on memorization.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I hold an M.S. in Biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University (2017), where General Chemistry is foundational, and taught it at the university level for 1.5 years. With 8,000+ hours and 250+ students, I cover stoichiometry, equilibrium, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, and beyond. My focus is on building strong fundamentals so later topics click into place rather than feeling like an endless pile of new rules.
MCAT

MCAT

I scored in the top quartile on the MCAT in both the Bio/Biochem and Chem/Phys sections. I have over 3000 hours of MCAT tutoring experience with over 10 students that have scored in the top quartile after tutoring with me. I helped one student bring his score up from a 501 to a 515, and every student I have worked with has brought their score up after tutoring with me. I lived with an MD student for 2 years who scored a perfect score on the MCAT, and he helped me to build my own study strategy. I implement this study strategy with my MCAT students.
Organic Chemistry

Organic Chemistry

I hold an M.S. in Biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University (2017) (a program where Organic Chemistry is foundational) and taught it at the university level for 1.5 years. Orgo is one of the subjects I work with most across 8,000+ hours and 250+ students. My focus is on building mechanistic intuition so students can reason through problems they've never seen before, not just the ones they've memorized.
Physics

Physics

I hold an M.S. in Biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University (2017), which required rigorous Physics coursework, and have been tutoring it full-time since with 8,000+ hours and 250+ students. I work with both algebra-based and calculus-based courses across mechanics, kinematics, E&M, thermodynamics, waves, and optics. My approach builds problem-solving intuition so students can set up any problem systematically — not just the ones they've seen before.

Incredible tutor

Zach is extremely patient and breaks down concepts and problems really well! We discussed several concepts and practice problems that were very difficult for me but within an hour and a half i felt much more comfortable with the concepts and the class.
