I am originally from Hungary, I started to play the French horn at the age of 8. I moved to the United States in 2008. I participated in a double-degree program as the recipient of the prestigious Bito Scholarship at the Bard College Conservatory of Music in New York, where I received my Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Art degrees in 2014. In 2016 I receive my Master of Music degree at the Frost School of Music of University of Miami. During my studies in Miami I was a recipient of the Henry Mancini Fellowship and I was my professor's Teaching Assistant. Holding these positions meant that I had the opportunity to visit lessons, deeply analyze my professor's teaching methods, and I also had my own French horn studio where I had the opportunity to teach weekly lessons to college level students.
I believe that I am good at assuming what my students' strengths and weaknesses are, therefore I can help them in an effective way.
I lived in Hungary for 21 years before I moved to the United States. My native language is Hungarian, and even though I live for away from my country for over 10 years, I still use it every day in order to communicate with my family. Therefore I can switch between Hungarian and English quickly. I am also familiar with idioms in both languages since I am from Hungary and my wife is from California. Of course there is always more to learn, but I try to keep improving my language skills every day.
I play French horn for about 24 years now. I have a Master of Music degree in French horn performance, and currently I am a professional musician in the South Florida area. I play 3rd horn at the Florida Grand Opera and in the Palm Beach Symphony Orchestra and I frequently perform with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra in Punta Gorda. I have significant experience in teaching students from elementary school all the way through college.
