I came to the US back in 1986 when I was bright eyed and bushy tailed. At that time I had finished sailing around the world on merchant navy ships and was ready to settle down with my family in the land of the free and home to the brave. Once here, I worked on setting up my own shipping company and making waves in the business world. Working in the business world made me realize I still had a lot to learn and so I decided to earn my MBA. I continued my education while balancing running my business and supporting my family and earned my MBA from University of Miami, with a Salutatorian award, and was inducted into the Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma.

Before coming to the United States, I attended Glasgow College of Nautical studies, under the auspices of Strathclyde University, where I earned my Extra-Master, securing the highest marks in entire United Kingdom and won the Prince Charles Medal for same, awarded by Royal Society of Arts Thomas Gray Memorial Trust, United Kingdom. I was also named the Mathematician of the College.

In India, I was a student of Higher Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I passed the board exams with distinction in Higher Mathematics and Credit in Physics & Chemistry.
Having been educated myself in three different countries, India, United Kingdom and the United States, I have an exposure to different systems of learning and teaching. I can easily adopt the model which best suits my student for easy learning. I have applied mathematics and physics in everyday life as a ship Captain which helps me teach my students with practical application of the concepts they are learning. This helps them visualize the subject better and understand the underlying concepts.

Tutoring my own children as well as my peers has given me the strength required to teach in an informal environment. I have had many life experiences that allow me to be a patient educator. Part of what makes me a great tutor is my commitment to helping my students achieve their goals.
