I have over 15 years experience in Training and tutoring in English - from adult professionals with very diverse levels, careers and objectives, to children and students looking for exam preparation, fun lessons, social English, etc. I have a French diploma in professional training, and I have studied English at University level. English

I have a Professional Training certificate and have been training/tutoring English to all ages, social, business, school level for over 15 years. I have worked for various training companies, as well as the Chamber of Commerce in France, training people in English at a professional level. I established an association in France for children to learn English, and was the principle trainer for ages 2 to 18.
ESL/ESOL

ESL/ESOL

My 15 year professional experience is largely with people for whom English is a foreign language. I have trained these people at all levels, for business purposes, TOEIC exam preparation, university level exams, and Elementary and High School. This requires a special approach, in which I am very experienced.
Grammar

Grammar

I have studied English at university level, and have a further professional training certificate in English. Grammar is a large part of my teaching. Without knowing and UNDERSTANDING grammar rules, and being able to apply them, students will keep making the same mistakes. Grammar takes understanding, revision and practice, and here is where I come in!
Reading

Reading

Reading is an integral part of improving one's confidence and vocabulary. Reading skills help us to communicate more fluidly, and to understand better. All my lessons include some form of reading, and dissecting of texts/sentences. Reading is always adapted to the student's level, objectives and pace.
Vocabulary

Vocabulary

I am a professional English trainer, who has often trained students with zero experience of the English language. Vocabulary is imperative to building up the ability to learn a language. Without vocabulary, we would not learn a language! The vocabulary chosen is mostly influenced by the particular learning objectives of the student. For example, I may be training a Sales Manager, so my vocabulary lessons need to be geared to sales talk, figures, negotiation, product talk, etc. This will be taught in the form of simulations of the particular environment where these words will be used. Many methods are possible, from reading/pronouncing words and related texts, to videos, to role plays, to dialogues, etc. Small children, on the other hand, need basic vocabulary in nouns, verbs, pronouns, etc, and they need this taught in a very small bites, with lots of repetition and a lot of fun and movement.
Writing

Writing

As a professional trainer of all ages, writing has often been a focus for my trainees. I have had trainees needing specific help in writing business emails, in writing papers at university level, and in writing simple sentences at Elementary and High school level. Writing goes hand in hand with grammar and vocabulary learning. The more practice students have to write about subjects that interest them, the more it flows. The university students I have helped have all passed their exams well. The business people I have helped have found their English skills greatly improved in the workplace. Children have been able to formulate simple sentences, look out for common spelling rules, exceptions, etc. They are also more able to formulate descriptive sentences, and to correct their own errors with reasons.
