I began teaching public school in Taylor, Michigan in 1972. I taught American Government and American History for six years. I then taught one year in the Toledo, Ohio Public schools. I taught Contempory Affairs. I moved on the Palmer Trinity School, a private school in Miami, Floriday for fourteen years teaching American Government, American History, AP Comparative Government, Vietnam Studies and Geography. After that moved to Ransom Everglades School, another private school. I taught American History, AP American Government and AP Comparative Government. I was there for twenty-two years and also served as an administrator.
I retired from there in 2015 and served as consultant for the CARE School in Miami, grades K-4 for two years. My other tutoring experience came in 1988 to 1990 at Miami-Dade Community College where I tutored Sociology students.
My undergraduate major was Modern European and American History. My minor was American Government and Politics. I taught American History for 25 years and Political Science for 30 years. I also taught Comparative Government for 23 years and Social Studies for 10 years.
I am very approachable, friendly, professional and helpful. I love teaching and the courses I have taught and tutored over my 43 years in education. I encourage students in grades 7-12 and in college to seek me out. They will not be disappointed. I love to discuss history, government and social studies subjects as well as current applications of all of these subjects.
