I have an Associate of Art degree in musical science from Miami Dade College. I studied Music engineering, Voice, Theory, Rock and Classical guitar & piano at Miami Dade. By the time I received my degrees, I was able to continue studying master music books with just instructions from the books. I have an Associate of Art degree in musical science from Miami Dade College. I studied Music engineering, Voice, Theory, Rock and Classical guitar & piano at Miami Dade. By the time I received my degrees, I was able to continue studying master music books with just instructions from the books. And for 19 years, I thoroughly self studied most musical instruments including Bass, Trumbone, Drums, Trumpets, Saxophones, Clarinets, Violin, Viola, Cello and more.
For over fifteen years, I have taught group music class in christian churches and all instruments at home private lessons. Also; I had taught group piano, guitar class to children from 5 years and above at Ams recording studio for four years.
Over the years I have discovered the most effective way to master the instruments. First, I start with one of the music method books to teach students fingerings and basic theory. For that I have been using Mel Bay modern guitar and bass guitar methods for strings, Essential elements 2000 for woodwinds and brass, Advanced rock drums techniques just to name a few. Second, comes the major and the relative minor scales and how to create chords from them. Third, come the intervals and advanced techniques from various music books and authors. Finally, is the six sequential text/workbooks in theory, harmony and arranging by Charles S. Peters and Paul Yoder.
My students start playing music on their instruments on their first lessons. First, we both play the lessons; then I teach students how to sight read the lessons. Finally, I explained the theory behind the songs.

Drums

Drums

I've been teaching drums to beginner with the Alfred Drum's methods for their tremendous instruction on rhythm. And I've used "Advanced Rock Drumming Techniques" book for advanced students for great hand and foot coordination techniques. The students have first learned how to pivot on the bass drum's foot pedal, where and how to strike the drum heads to produce great sound not noise.
Guitar

Guitar

I have an associates degree in music at Miami Dade College. I have studied most musical instruments for 19 years. I have taught mastering the guitar using Mel Bay guitar methods and advanced rock technique with my Master Theory books at home and churches for over 15 years. If you have lessons that you can not understand from your music books, I'll make sure you master them.
Piano

Piano

I have an associate degree in musical science at Miami Dade College. I have privately studied most musical instruments for 19 years. I have taught mastering the piano at churches and home using James Bastien piano library books and The Master Theory books by S. Charles Peter and Paul Yodder for over 15 years. I had also taught group lessons to kids from 5 years and up and adults of 80 years old at AMS recording studio for 4 years. If you have lessons from your already owned music books that you can not understand, register with me, and I guarantee you'll easily be able to master them.
Saxophone

Saxophone

For beginners, the Essential Elements 2000 Saxophone methods have specific exercises with breath marking points showing students when breathing is needed to sustain long notes or at the end of phrases. For students to effectively learn the saxophone, I teach 1-Diaphragmatic exercises: how to use the muscles below the lungs to take deep breaths instead of the chest and the stomach should expand outward when inhaling and contract inward when exhaling to strengthen the diaphragm and improve breath control. 2- Dynamics: how to control volume and expression by adjusting airflow and embouchure and to maintain a steady, consistent airflow through the saxophone, as this directly impacts tone, pitch, and dynamics. 3- Mouth Position: how to develop a relaxed but firm embouchure, ensuring lips are properly positioned against the mouthpiece and reed.
Trumpet

Trumpet

I first teach the student the valves, keys, mutes, embouchure, right posture and how to hold, play and tune the trumpet. Then I teach a warm up mode with accidental notes in the octaves the song is written so the student can hear and recognize the sound of the intervals. We then proceed to blow notes from the lessons the same way we blow them in the scales, usually low register for beginners and middle register after abdomen, diaphragm and breathing from the belly button exercises are mastered.
Violin

Violin

I have an associate degree in musical science at Miami Dade College. I have self studied most musical instruments for 19 years. I have been teaching mastering the Violin at home and churches using Essential Elements 2000 books for over 15 years. In addition; if you have music lessons from your Violin books that you can not understand, I will make sure you master them.
