My work background is research but I also love teaching and working with kids. My scientific research training has given me ample experience in analytical math. I scored a perfect 100 on my national Algebra test in junior high and have further enriched my love for math, with courses in calculus and statistics. During college, I also tutored Calculus and taught undergraduates basic lab protocols, while working as a research associate. Due to budget cuts with NIH grant funding, I have time to focus on teaching math.

I would love to make Algebra tutoring a fun and joyful experience and not like a teeth pulling experience. I have tons of patience and schedule flexibility to accommodate your busy life. My stepdaughter had 1 tutoring session with Elizabeth and thus far our experience was great. She is very flexible and willing to accommodate us. Extremely patient and easy to work with. I look forward to see what she and my stepdaughter can accomplish together.
I found Elizabeth when I was looking for a math tutor for my granddaughter who was not very comfortable with her math skills. I thought some extra practice over the summer would give her a head start on her freshman year of HS. Now what youngster wants to spend their break studying. Elizabeth made it fun, She is patient and generous with her time. The highest compliment is that my granddaughter said she looked forward to their sessions. Thanks Elizabeth, it was a fun summer.
Algebra is difficult to grasp but my daughter was able to understand it thanks to Elizabeth's tutoring techniques. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs it.
Was very helpful and reliable.
We will use her again. Several assignments were completed and explained to my son and he noticeably gained confidence. We will schedule future sessions to keep an increased effort for my son to do well in his algebra class.
I am so relieved to find a good patient hardworking tutor. Love Elizabeth and the best part is that my daughter loves her too. She was on time and ready to do whatever needed to be done to help her out.
We just started with Elizabeth but she is patient with with my son and is helping him get around his LD by using diagrams.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
