I am a Neurology resident physician with more than 12 years of tutoring and mentorship experience in SAT/ACT preparation, mathematics, science, and advanced STEM coursework. My goal is not only to help students improve grades or test scores, but also to build stronger problem-solving, organization, confidence, and study habits.

I tutor SAT/ACT preparation, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Organic Chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology. My medical and scientific training helps me connect difficult concepts to real applications while breaking material into clear, manageable steps.

SAT and ACT preparation is highly individualized. I build each plan around the student’s baseline performance, testing history, timeline, strengths, weaknesses, and target score. Preparation may include targeted practice, pacing and timing strategies, homework structure, progress tracking, error analysis, and adjustments based on performance.

Students work with me to understand why mistakes happen, identify recurring patterns, improve decision-making under pressure, and develop repeatable approaches they can use independently.

For math and science students, I address both immediate coursework and underlying gaps that may be making current material more difficult. This is especially useful for students preparing for honors, AP, dual-enrollment, or college-level STEM courses.

I value patience, communication, accountability, and realistic goal setting. Sessions are adapted to each student while maintaining the structure needed for measurable progress.

Donovan is the best tutor I've ever had! I needed to raise my SAT score by 60 points, but with his help, I tripled that goal and earned a 1420. He not only knows the material but is also patient in explaining it and creates a safe environment for students to learn and progress effectively.
