I am a multilingual, multicultural online language tutor of Chinese, Japanese, and Dominican descent, fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, and English. Having lived in over ten countries, I bring a global, culturally sensitive approach to language learning that focuses on communication, confidence, and real-life use rather than rote memorization.

I have 20+ years of teaching and tutoring experience, working with children, teens, college students, and adults. My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Biology, and Health Science, as well as a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine, allowing me to integrate cognitive, emotional, and holistic learning strategies.

I specialize in online language tutoring for neurodivergent learners, including students with ADHD, autism, anxiety, processing differences, or those who have struggled in traditional classroom settings. My sessions are structured yet flexible, calm, supportive, and tailored to each learner’s pace, interests, and sensory needs.

My teaching style emphasizes comprehension before perfection, speaking with confidence, and learning through visuals, conversation, and meaningful context. I believe language learning should feel safe, engaging, and empowering. There is no “I can’t do it”—only “we haven’t found the right way yet.” My goal is to help students feel seen, capable, and excited to communicate in a new language.

Biology

Biology

I have been a tutor for over 15 years, with a BAS in Psychology, BS in Biology & Health Science, and a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine. My students usually pull up their grades from a F up to a C+, that's how much I help them understand the subject. Eventually they reach a B or A depending on how much effort they put into it. My specialty is to adjust the teaching method on the subject, to the student's learning ability. I believe everyone can learn, they just have different ways to do it. I also focus on the student's need, which is something most students nowadays don't obtain at school from their teachers
