I am a foreign-trained Orthopedic Surgeon with more than 10 years of experience in medicine, surgery, and healthcare education. After completing medical school, residency, and post-doctoral training, I worked as an expatriate Orthopedic Surgeon in a humanitarian program in Africa. These experiences taught me not only about medicine and patient care, but also adaptability and the importance of helping others. I am now building the next chapter in the United States as a Registered Nurse, having earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Since 2022, I have gained valuable U.S. healthcare experience in medical-surgical and nursing rehabilitation settings.
Teaching has always been a meaningful part of my career. For more than four years, I taught adult nursing students medical-surgical courses in a nursing school in my home country, and I also taught high school Biology in a classroom setting for more than six years. I truly enjoy helping students understand subjects that may seem difficult or overwhelming. I understand the challenges of learning complex healthcare concepts and preparing for a new career. I strive to create a friendly, supportive, and judgment-free learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace.
I am excited to bring my international medical background, nursing education, teaching experience, and U.S. healthcare experience into tutoring here in the United States. I have also completed professional training in areas including the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR. Whether you are struggling with Biology, anatomy and physiology, medical-surgical nursing, clinical concepts, patient care, or simply looking for someone to help you build confidence in your studies, I would be happy to support you. My goal is to help you truly understand concepts. I look forward to meeting students and being part of their learning journey!
