Hi, I'm JC — a Miami native and educator with 20 years of classroom experience, currently serving as Director of the Applied Global Leadership Program at a Miami Catholic High School. Over the years I've developed several of these courses from the ground up, coached Debate and Model UN, and built a career around helping students think critically about the world — from global politics to literature to leadership. I've spent 15 years working alongside humanitarian educator Carl Wilkens, bringing real-world lessons on justice and reconciliation from Rwanda into the classroom, studied Literature and Politics at St. Andrews University in Scotland, and have been awarded numerous teacher fellowships.
I know your goal is a 5 on the exam or a "A" in the course, so our goal is deep learning. Tutoring sessions focus on building genuine command of the content and the critical thinking skills the exam actually tests, so the material sticks well past test day and the score follows naturally.
