Understanding physiology doesn't have to be overwhelming. Whether you're preparing for an exam, striving for an A in your Anatomy & Physiology course, or pursuing a career in nursing or another healthcare profession, I can help you build the knowledge and confidence you need to succeed. I am a Professor of Anatomy and Physiology with more than 25 years of experience teaching physiology to college, physician assistant, medical, and pre-health students. Whether you are taking Anatomy & Physiology, preparing for nursing school, or studying for professional school exams, I provide personalized instruction that makes complex concepts clear, understandable, and memorable.
My academic background includes a Ph.D. in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where my research focused on the regulation of molecular mechanisms following traumatic brain injury. I also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, one of the world's leading neuroscience research centers. I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Miami. My tutoring philosophy is simple: every student can succeed when difficult concepts are explained in a logical, engaging, and personalized way. I focus on developing deep conceptual understanding, improving critical thinking, and teaching proven study strategies that help students excel on exams and retain knowledge long after the course ends.
