I'm a rising sophomore at Washington University in St. Louis double majoring in Finance and Statistics with a 3.8+ GPA. I scored a 35 on the ACT and earned 5s consistently across my AP exams, including AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Physics C, and AP Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. I graduated from Ransom Everglades School in Miami, so I know firsthand what rigorous coursework and competitive test prep look like from the student side. I currently work as a financial analyst intern at a Miami startup, where I apply statistics and data analysis every day to real business problems. My biggest strength as a tutor is test strategy: standardized exams reward students who know how to approach problems, not just solve them. I teach students how to read questions efficiently, eliminate answers, manage time, and target their practice on the specific question types where they lose points. I take a thoughtful, individualized approach. I break concepts down to their foundations and adapt how I explain things until it clicks.
Beyond the numbers, I want parents and students to know I'm someone who genuinely gets it. I grew up in Miami under big expectations, both academically and athletically, and I know what that pressure feels like from the inside. I was honestly never the most talented athlete on the field, but I still became a captain of both my football and track teams, because I learned early that preparation, consistency, and showing up beat raw talent. That's the same lesson I bring to test prep: a great score isn't about being a genius, it's about having a system and putting in the right reps. That approach earned me the Raider Award at Ransom Everglades, given for character and commitment, and it's what I try to model for every student I work with. If your kid feels overwhelmed by the SAT or a tough AP class, I've been in their exact seat, and I know the way through.
