I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology and I'm a certified science teacher in the state of Florida. I currently teach 5th through 8th grade science, where I develop curriculum, create assessments, design hands on labs and projects, and teach a wide range of topics including Earth Science, Life Science, Elementary Science, and STEM. In addition, I taught high school Anatomy and Physiology honors for five years, giving me extensive experience working with students across a broad range of grade levels and abilities.
In addition to classroom teaching, I have extensive one on one tutoring experience in both science and mathematics. My tutoring approach focuses on building confidence, strengthening foundational skills, and helping students develop a deep understanding of concepts rather than simply memorizing information. I tailor each session to the individual student's needs, using guided practice, real world examples, visual learning strategies, review activities, and targeted test preparation. I also help students improve study habits, organization, note taking, and problem solving skills.
I have worked in public, charter, and private school. I have worked with students ranging from elementary school through high school in classroom settings, small group instruction, and individualized tutoring sessions. My experience includes supporting struggling learners, helping students prepare for exams, and guiding long term academic growth. As a current classroom teacher, I have a strong understanding of grade level expectations, curriculum standards, and effective instructional practices, which allows me to provide highly personalized and impactful tutoring support.
