Math is easier than you think

I am a mathematics educator with several years of experience teaching students at both the high school and university levels. I have taught courses such as Pre-Calculus Algebra and Business Calculus at Miami Dade College, and I have also worked as an Algebra 1 and Pre-Algebra teacher for middle and high school students. During my time teaching Algebra I, I helped improve EOC performance by 35% compared to the previous year. My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundations, simplifying difficult concepts, and adapting explanations to each student’s learning style so they can gain confidence and improve consistently.

Before teaching in the United States, I worked as a mathematics professor at Universidad de Oriente, where I taught subjects including Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Mathematical Analysis, and Analytical Geometry. I hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Mathematics, and I was awarded academic scholarships and honors throughout my studies due to my performance in mathematics competitions and university coursework. In addition to mathematics, I also completed a diploma in Data Science, which strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills.

I enjoy working with students of different ages and skill levels, whether they need help catching up in class, preparing for exams, or developing a deeper understanding of mathematics. My goal is not only to help students solve problems, but also to help them become independent and confident learners who feel comfortable approaching challenging material.
