I earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and have experience working across mathematics, science, research, and education-focused environments. My academic background includes advanced coursework in calculus, linear algebra, statistics, proof-based mathematics, and scientific reasoning. I also completed several years of pharmacy school training, which strengthened my understanding of biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and applied problem-solving. In addition to my formal education, I have worked on research and technical projects involving data analysis, mathematical modeling, and scientific communication.

I have experience tutoring and mentoring students in both one-on-one and small-group settings, particularly in mathematics and STEM subjects. I have helped students ranging from middle school through college level with subjects such as algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, statistics, SAT/ACT math preparation, and introductory science courses. My teaching approach focuses on building conceptual understanding rather than memorization alone. I adapt explanations to the student’s learning style and break complex topics into smaller, understandable steps while encouraging students to think critically and independently.

My experience also includes working with students who struggle with confidence, attention, or test anxiety. I emphasize patience, consistency, and clear communication, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. Because of my background in higher mathematics and scientific research, I am especially comfortable helping advanced or highly motivated students deepen their understanding beyond standard classroom instruction while still remaining approachable and encouraging for learners at all levels.

Approved Subjects

AMC (Competition math)

AMC (Competition math)

I hold a degree in mathematics and have extensive experience with proof-oriented and higher-level mathematical reasoning relevant to AMC-style competition problems. My background includes algebra, number theory, combinatorics, geometry, logic, and abstract mathematical structures, and I have independently studied several classic Soviet mathematics olympiad texts known for their emphasis on creative and rigorous problem solving. I am also currently reading The Scottish Book, which reflects my continued interest in advanced mathematical problem culture and collaborative mathematical thinking. I teach students how to recognize patterns, construct elegant solutions, and approach unfamiliar problems strategically rather than relying on memorized procedures, while helping them build creativity, rigor, and confidence for AMC and other olympiad-style examinations.
Calculus

Calculus

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with extensive experience in calculus, advanced problem-solving, and mathematical instruction. Strong understanding of limits, derivatives, integrals, series, multivariable calculus, and differential equations. Experienced explaining complex concepts clearly, adapting to different learning styles, and helping students improve analytical thinking, confidence, and exam performance in college-level mathematics. Extensive independent study in organic chemistry and reaction mechanisms, including working through Robert Grossman’s “The Art of Writing Reasonable Organic Reaction Mechanisms” and studying research associated with Scripps Institute work. Strong interest in both the historical development and modern practice of chemistry, allowing me to connect abstract concepts to real scientific applications and improve conceptual understanding.
Finite Math

Finite Math

I hold a degree in mathematics and have experience teaching applied mathematical concepts commonly covered in finite mathematics, including logic, matrices, probability, combinatorics, graph theory, financial mathematics, and optimization methods. My background emphasizes structured problem solving and helping students understand how mathematical systems apply to real-world decision making in business, economics, computing, and the sciences. I focus on building strong quantitative reasoning skills by breaking complex problems into clear, manageable steps while strengthening conceptual understanding. I am especially effective at helping students gain confidence with practical mathematics and discrete problem-solving techniques without relying on rote memorization.
Real Analysis

Real Analysis

I hold a degree in mathematics and have extensive experience working with rigorous proof-based mathematics, including limits, continuity, sequences, series, topology of the real line, and measure-oriented thinking. My approach to real analysis emphasizes logical structure, proof-writing technique, and developing mathematical maturity. I help students learn how to read and construct formal proofs step by step while building intuition for abstract concepts. I am especially effective at helping students transition from computational calculus into rigorous higher mathematics.
SAT Math

SAT Math

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with extensive experience tutoring algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, and standardized test preparation. Strong background in problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and adapting instruction to different learning styles. Experienced helping students improve confidence, accuracy, pacing, and test-taking strategy for SAT-level mathematics.
Statistics

Statistics

I explored graduate-level statistical theory coursework during college and also worked on statistics-heavy medical device research projects where I used statistical software extensively for data analysis and reporting.
