I am a certified Biology educator with classroom experience working with high school students in both Biology and Environmental Science settings. I hold bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Sustainability and Natural & Applied Sciences, along with an Associate’s degree in Secondary Education focused on Earth and Space Sciences. I also earned my Biology teaching certification after successfully passing the FTCE Biology 6–12 exam. My academic and classroom background has given me strong knowledge in subjects including genetics, ecology, cellular processes, evolution, and human body systems.
Over the past year, I have worked directly with students in classroom settings by supporting instruction, reviewing course material, and helping students better understand complex scientific concepts. I enjoy breaking difficult topics down into simpler, more relatable explanations that help students feel more confident and successful in science. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and adapted to each student’s individual learning style and needs.
In addition to my classroom experience, I am also a certified Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) who works one-on-one with individuals, often children with autism, implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. This role has strengthened my communication, patience, and individualized teaching skills while helping me develop effective strategies for working with students who may struggle with confidence, attention, organization, or test anxiety. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them build confidence and feel supported throughout the learning process.
