Hi, my name is Ally! I graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University with a degree in Biological Sciences in 2024. I am currently an accepted medical student at Florida International University's Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine's Class of 2030.

I have extensive teaching and tutoring experience. For a year, I was a learning assistant/adjunct lecturer in university level Physics with calculus I, Physics with calculus II, and physiology. In these courses, there were about 80-120 students and I gained experience helping students individually, in small groups, and as a class. I also have a year of experience as a biology tutor through FIU's Peer Led Team Learning (PLTL) Program where I tutored two groups of 10-15 students weekly. I later became a supervisor for PLTL and helped guide other tutors in various biology subjects including biology I and II, biochemistry, genetics, and ecology. I have taken all the courses I have taught or tutored in and passed with an A. Outside of university courses, I have taken the MCAT and scored in the 96th percentile. I have experience and knowledge on the subjects tested in the MCAT and helping guide others through the material.

Through my experiences, I have gained an understanding of different teaching techniques and how to best meet a student's needs. Whether a student prefers lecture, active learning, or guided practice, I can adjust sessions to fit their preferences. My goal is to help my students feel comfortable asking any questions they may have and gain confidence in their knowledge and abilities.
