Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile!
My name is Vernon, and I am a second-year medical student at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine (Class of 2028). I am currently an Anatomy Teaching Assistant and earned an A in both semesters of medical school anatomy, including upper and lower extremity anatomy. Through both my coursework and my role as a TA, I have developed a strong ability to teach complex anatomical concepts in a clear, structured, and approachable way.
I specialize in tutoring anatomy, with a particular emphasis on lower extremity anatomy, as well as physiology and foundational health-science coursework. As a teaching assistant, I regularly help students review material, clarify difficult topics, and prepare for practicals and written exams. I am experienced in explaining relationships between structures, using diagrams and clinical correlations, and reinforcing high-yield concepts that students are commonly tested on.
My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and highly individualized. I focus on identifying where a student is struggling and adapting my explanations to match their learning style. I believe understanding the “why” behind anatomy is just as important as memorization, and I work to help students build confidence through repetition, active recall, and clear conceptual frameworks.
As a medical student, I understand the pressure and pace of demanding science courses. I aim to create a low-stress learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and strengthening their foundation. Whether you are a high school student, undergraduate, or pre-health student preparing for exams, I am committed to helping you succeed and feel confident in the material.
I look forward to working with you and supporting your academic goals.
