I have a strong quantitative and analytical background that makes me well prepared to tutor math across grade levels. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State, where I built a rigorous foundation in problem solving through coursework and applications involving calculus, statistics, and structured analytical thinking. My professional work has reinforced these skills by requiring me to break down complex problems into clear steps and communicate them in a way that others can understand and apply.

Since 2022, I’ve worked in consulting roles where teaching and coaching have been a regular part of my responsibilities. I have led trainings and onboarding for new team members, guiding them through new concepts and processes, checking for understanding, and helping them build confidence through practice. This experience translates directly to tutoring: I focus on diagnosing where a student is getting stuck, explaining the underlying concept in a simple way, and reinforcing it with guided examples and targeted practice until the student can solve problems independently.

I also bring a bilingual perspective that helps me connect with a wide range of students and families. I grew up in Venezuela, so Spanish is my first language, and after living in the United States for several years I am completely fluent in English. In tutoring, I can explain math concepts in either language and support bilingual students who may understand the logic of math better when it’s taught in the language they feel most comfortable using. My approach is patient, structured, and outcomes-focused, with an emphasis on building both skills and confidence over time.
