I am a biologist with a master’s degree in Biology and a strong interdisciplinary background in the natural sciences, languages, and the humanities. My graduate research focused on urban ecology, specifically green roofs and their role in supporting beneficial arthropods, and I recently published a scientific paper related to this work. I have formal training in biology, ecology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and statistics, as well as experience with scientific writing and data analysis. I was born and raised in the United States, spent part of my early childhood in the United Kingdom, and was later educated in Argentina, which shaped me into a bilingual and multicultural educator.
I have been teaching since 2012, beginning with English instruction focused on conversation, communication, and real-world use of the language. Over time, I expanded my teaching to include Spanish, mathematics (especially algebra), physics, chemistry, statistics, and science more broadly. My teaching approach is structured yet flexible, always tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. I focus on helping students develop a deep understanding of concepts, strengthen their reasoning skills, and learn how to think independently rather than rely on memorization. In language instruction, I integrate grammar naturally through conversation and contextualize lessons with cultural and historical insight.
My experience includes one-on-one tutoring with students ranging from teenagers to adults in their 50s and 60s, with most of my students being young adults in their 20s and 30s. I have taught students from the United States, Europe, and Latin America in academic and professional contexts. I am fluent in English and Spanish, with advanced proficiency in French and Italian, and working knowledge of Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese. I genuinely enjoy teaching and supporting students, and I bring patience, clarity, and enthusiasm to every session.

Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I am a STEM tutor with about 10 years of experience teaching mathematics, physics, and chemistry. I hold a Master’s degree in Biology and have strong training in scientific reasoning and quantitative problem solving. I enjoy helping students develop both conceptual understanding and effective problem-solving strategies across a wide range of math, physics and chemistry topics, from foundational concepts to more advanced material.
Biology

Biology

I hold a master’s degree in Biology and have over 10 years of experience teaching biology to high school (including AP and honors) and university-level students. I cover a wide range of topics such as cellular and molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, biochemistry, ecology, earth science, taxonomy, and plant and animal physiology. My academic research background in urban ecology allows me to connect biological theory with real-world applications and current scientific thinking. I focus on building strong conceptual foundations, adapting lessons to each student’s curriculum, pace, and learning style.
Botany

Botany

I hold a Master's Degree in Biology with extensive research and teaching experience. My thesis and subsequent work focused on plant–arthropod interactions, urban green roof ecosystems, and ecological conservation. I have given talks and workshops on plant diversity, forest ecology, and sustainable environmental practices, engaging students and community members alike. These experiences allow me to provide clear, engaging instruction in botany and environmental science.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I hold a Master’s degree in Biology and have over 8 years of experience teaching Chemistry, with a focus on inorganic chemistry. I have taught high school, AP, honors, and university-level students, helping them master concepts in general, organic, and biological chemistry. My extensive teaching experience and strong academic background allow me to connect chemical theory with real-world applications and current scientific thinking. I tailor lessons to each student’s curriculum, pace, and learning style, fostering deep understanding and confidence in the subject.
Ecology

Ecology

I hold a master’s degree in Biology and have over 10 years of experience teaching biology to high school (including AP and honors) and university-level students. Physics

Physics

I am a STEM tutor with about 10 years of experience teaching mathematics, physics, and chemistry. I hold a Master’s degree in Biology and have strong training in scientific reasoning and quantitative problem solving. Because physics is closely connected to mathematics, I enjoy helping students develop both conceptual understanding and effective problem-solving strategies across a wide range of physics topics, from foundational concepts to more advanced material.
Spanish

Spanish

I am a native Spanish speaker from Argentina with over 10 years of experience teaching Spanish to students from different backgrounds. I completed my entire education in Argentina and developed a strong foundation in language, grammar, and literature. I have helped both children and adults improve their Spanish for school, work, and everyday communication. My lessons focus on clear explanations, practical conversation, and building confidence using the language naturally. I also have a strong interest in the history of language and have studied Latin and Greek, which helps me explain vocabulary, grammar, and word origins more clearly. Whether you need help with school Spanish, conversation, or grammar, I’m happy to adapt lessons to your goals.
