I am a biologist with a master’s degree in Biology and a strong interdisciplinary background in the natural sciences, languages, and the humanities. My graduate research focused on urban ecology, specifically green roofs and their role in supporting beneficial arthropods, and I recently published a scientific paper related to this work. I have formal training in biology, ecology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and statistics, as well as experience with scientific writing and data analysis. I was born and raised in the United States, spent part of my early childhood in the United Kingdom, and was later educated in Argentina, which shaped me into a bilingual and multicultural educator.
I have been teaching since 2012, beginning with English instruction focused on conversation, communication, and real-world use of the language. Over time, I expanded my teaching to include Spanish, mathematics (especially algebra), physics, chemistry, statistics, and science more broadly. My teaching approach is structured yet flexible, always tailored to each student’s goals and learning style. I focus on helping students develop a deep understanding of concepts, strengthen their reasoning skills, and learn how to think independently rather than rely on memorization. In language instruction, I integrate grammar naturally through conversation and contextualize lessons with cultural and historical insight.
My experience includes one-on-one tutoring with students ranging from teenagers to adults in their 50s and 60s, with most of my students being young adults in their 20s and 30s. I have taught students from the United States, Europe, and Latin America in academic and professional contexts. I am fluent in English and Spanish, with advanced proficiency in French and Italian, and working knowledge of Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese. I genuinely enjoy teaching and supporting students, and I bring patience, clarity, and enthusiasm to every session.
