I am an undergraduate student at the University of Miami, majoring in Microbiology & Immunology. I have a strong academic foundation in the life sciences, particularly biology, and I genuinely enjoy communicating scientific concepts to my peers. My coursework has helped me develop a thorough understanding of core biological concepts, particularly in cell biology, anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and environmental science. In high school, I was enrolled in AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, and AP Human Geography, and passed each of these AP exams with scores of 3 or above. My high school and college education have strengthened both my content knowledge and my ability to think critically, permitting me to explain complex biological concepts in a clear, engaging, and non-intimidating manner.

I have experience teaching and supporting students in academic settings through one-on-one assistance and study sessions. I assist in breaking down key biological concepts and use real-world examples, YouTube videos, and textbook questions to reinforce content. My tutoring approach caters to students’ needs and focuses on filling gaps in knowledge while offering personalized explanations for each student’s individual needs. In addition to college students, I also have experience tutoring a middle school student in pre-algebra, which has supported my ability to adjust my pedagogy for younger students.

In addition to my academic experience, I have held leadership roles on campus, such as being a resident assistant, which has further developed my communication skills and my ability to work with students across a variety of ages and backgrounds.
