Over the past eight years, my work has sat at the intersection of education, neuroscience, psychology, and healthcare, which allows me to support students from middle school through adulthood in a very holistic way. I hold master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Neuroscience, along with bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and English Literature, and I am a licensed physical therapist with multiple Florida teaching certifications in English, Health, and Social Studies. This background gives me a strong foundation to tutor English literature and writing, reading comprehension, anatomy and physiology, social studies, AP Psychology, AP Research, and comprehensive middle school science, especially for students in eighth grade and above.
In the classroom, I have taught high school Anatomy and Physiology and other sciences, working with roughly two hundred juniors and seniors each year in both traditional and technology-enhanced environments. I design individualized learning plans, use virtual labs and digital tools, and integrate real-world healthcare and psychology examples so that abstract ideas become concrete and memorable for students. My teaching experience includes whole-class instruction, small-group intervention, and one-on-one support, as well as mentoring research teams and coaching students with diverse learning needs and different levels of confidence.
I bring a calm, structured, and encouraging presence to sessions while also expecting students to think critically and take ownership of their learning. Whether I am helping a middle schooler build foundational science skills, guiding a high school student through AP-level reading and research, or supporting a college or adult learner returning to complex material after a long break, my goal is the same: to meet students where they are, use evidence-based strategies grounded in neuroscience and educational best practices, and help them leave each session feeling more capable, confident, and independent.
