I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and Development and have three years of experience teaching in Florida, where I earned my five-year professional teaching license. Throughout my time in the classroom, I worked closely with students in Pre-K through third grade, helping them build strong foundations in reading, phonics, writing, and early math skills. My background has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how young children learn, as well as how to adapt instruction to meet a variety of learning styles and language needs, including ESOL learners.

My teaching experience includes whole-group instruction, small-group targeted lessons, and one-on-one support for students who needed additional help. I have supported children at a wide range of levels, including students who were significantly below grade level in phonics and reading comprehension. I focus on breaking concepts down into simple, manageable steps while using interactive and engaging strategies that keep students motivated. I believe in creating a warm, encouraging environment where children feel confident and supported, even when learning feels challenging.

As a tutor, I draw on both my classroom experience and my knowledge of early literacy development to create personalized lessons tailored to each child’s needs. I prioritize building strong foundational skills, fostering a love of learning, and helping students make real, measurable progress. My goal is to support students academically while also nurturing their confidence so they feel capable and excited about learning.
