I am currently a Ph.D. student in Political Science at the Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs at Florida International University (FIU). I previously graduated magna cum laude from FIU with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Philosophy, and I am also a proud member of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s most prestigious honor society for the social sciences.
Before beginning my doctoral studies, I taught 8th and 9th Grade World History (Gifted & Advanced). Teaching at the middle and high school levels showed me how important it is to explain complex ideas in a clear, patient, and engaging way. I learned that when students feel supported and understood, they become more confident thinkers and stronger learners. That is the exact experience I try to create for every student I work with.
I also have several years of tutoring experience, including elementary and middle school English, where I helped students strengthen their reading, writing, grammar, and overall academic skills. Whether a student needs help understanding historical events, improving essays, preparing for exams, or building foundational reading and writing abilities, I tailor my approach to their specific goals and learning style.
My teaching philosophy is simple: learning should be clear, structured, and empowering. I usually begin by introducing material in a relatable or creative way, then guide students step-by-step through the content, and finally give them space to apply what they’ve learned on their own.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a session, I look forward to helping your student thrive!
