I'm Alexandra! I graduated with a BA in Economics with Honors and a minor in Consumer Psychology from UPenn. Additionally, I received a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Miami. Further, I hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and spent over ten years working in public accounting at the Big 4 in New York City, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Miami.

My favorite professors and mentors were always those who were engaging, explained concepts clearly, provided concrete examples, and offered constructive feedback. This is how I approach tutoring. I've tutored previously for introductory economics students and I've also been a volunteer for several years with Junior Achievement where we teach financial literacy in the classroom. During my time in the Big 4, I also had experience with teaching concepts, teaching how to perform the work, and providing constructive feedback to the staff on the teams I managed.

I have a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the state of Florida (was previously licensed in New York state as well). I passed all four sections of the exam the first time. I scored a 94 on the FAR (Financial Accounting and Reporting) section and a 92 on the BEC (Business Environment and Concepts) section.

I successfully completed my honors thesis in Economics at UPenn and Econometrics was part of this. I've used Econometrics in my work at the Big 4. Econometrics was one of my favorite courses.

Courses included introduction to marketing, consumer behavior, global marketing management, data and analysis for marketing decisions, models for marketing strategy, statistics, introduction to experimental psychology, social psychology, judgments and decisions, and neuroeconomics. Additionally, I worked in public relations in the fashion, hospitality, and lifestyle industries.
