I am a Columbia University graduate with a Bachelor’s in History, and I have extensive experience tutoring and mentoring students across K–12 levels. I am comfortable teaching English, history, writing, and ELA for K–12 students, as well as math for K–8. My academic background has equipped me with strong analytical, writing, and critical thinking skills, which I bring into my tutoring to help students strengthen their understanding, organize ideas, and develop clear, coherent work.

I have worked in a variety of educational settings, including classroom instruction and one-on-one mentoring. At Breakthrough Miami, I designed and led interactive drama workshops and math lessons for inner-city youth, fostering communication, confidence, and creative expression. I also created an original theater elective, where students practiced performance, acting, presentation, and communication skills through improv exercises, group activities, and mindfulness techniques. These experiences have taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to the needs of diverse learners and create inclusive, engaging environments.

Additionally, I have guided high school students through essay writing and college applications, helping them identify and emphasize their strengths, clarify themes in their narratives, and select activities that highlight their interests. Drawing from my own experience as a Columbia University student, I provide insights into academic expectations and strategies for success. My approach is personalized, patient, and focused on building both skills and confidence, ensuring each student is supported in reaching their full potential.
