Hello future students! My name is Gio, and I’m currently a student at the University of Miami working on earning a degree in Business as well as Music. I have been lucky enough to immerse myself in the piano for over 10 years, and now have a passion to carry over my experience with the instrument to you. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to perform solo, as well as in ensemble settings with the Blair Academy jazz band and orchestra, including performances at Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall in New York City, These experiences have not only refined my technical skills but also deepened my understanding of musical expression and collaboration.
In addition to my piano background, I’ve been producing music for upcoming artists (as well as myself) for the past 5 years and writing original songs for the last 2. These skills allow me to bring a modern and creative edge to my tutoring approach, particularly for students interested in songwriting, beat-making, or digital music production. I specialize in the software Logic Pro X, but am able to navigate DAWs such as Ableton and FL Studio as well. My experience also spans further as I have been coached in aspects such as sound design, recording, and mixing.
My tutoring style is hands-on, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s unique goals and interests. Whether you're just starting out on piano, looking to enhance your improvisation skills, or wanting to dive into music production and songwriting, I aim to make our sessions engaging and productive.
