I am a microbiologist with a Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences and 48 years of university teaching experience. My bachelor’s and doctoral degrees have been formally evaluated and recognized in the United States. Throughout my career, I taught Microbiology and related subjects to university students in Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Agronomy, Pharmacy, and Chemical Engineering.
I have worked with students in large classrooms and in personalized one-on-one settings. I also supervised undergraduate and graduate research, including master’s-level projects in Veterinary and Chemical Sciences. I can assist students with microbiological fundamentals, microbial physiology, bacterial growth and metabolism, laboratory principles, Immunology, exam preparation, and the interpretation of scientific material.
My teaching style is patient, practical, and adapted to each student’s background. I simplify difficult concepts through clear explanations, analogies, diagrams, and real-life applications. I encourage students to explain ideas in their own words so that we can identify and correct gaps in understanding. I currently offer online lessons for college, graduate, and adult learners, and I can also provide explanations in Spanish when helpful.
