I earned my Bachelor of Science from Charter Oak State College, graduating with honors and making the Dean’s List. Currently, I’m continuing my education in an accelerated nursing program at the University of Miami. In addition to my academic background, I’ve had the opportunity to shadow in classrooms and work with students using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques, which has given me valuable experience in understanding different learning styles and needs. This has been especially helpful in my approach to tutoring.
I’ve spent a lot of time working one-on-one with kids, mostly in elementary and middle school, to help them understand math concepts that can sometimes feel overwhelming. My tutoring style is patient and supportive. I like to break down tough ideas in creative, simple ways, which makes it easier for students to really get it. I’m calm and encouraging, and I always make sure to recognize their progress, no matter how small, so they feel more confident as they learn.
For me, it’s not just about helping students improve in math but also making sure they enjoy the process and feel good about their progress. I love seeing that “aha” moment when something clicks!
