Hi, I'm Daniela! I am currently attending Florida State University as a second year student majoring in Biological Sciences. During high school, I mastered my way of studying and retaining the material that was given to me due to the fact I was taking 11 AP courses. I took courses such as AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP English Literature, AP English Language and Composition, and more. With this experience of taking these rigorous courses and gaining effective study skills, I hope to implement this onto other students as well! What I usually do is review the material that was given to the student and ensure to explain and teach it to the student. I then allow the student to practice the material and allow them to ask me any questions they may have , or sometimes we do a fun activity to practice as well.
I have 1 year of tutoring experience and I taught social studies tutor for a 7th grader, algebra 1 tutor for a 9th grader, calculus for a college student, and the ACT math section for a 12th grader. Half of these tutoring experiences were online, but the rest were in person and they were all one on one. I also have experience teaching younger children since I mentored elementary students on how to play the violin for 2 years at their school.
