With a robust educational background in Mathematics and Economics from George Mason University and a Masters degree from Duke University in Economics (math focused), my academic journey has been thoroughly steeped in quantitative and analytical disciplines. These experiences not only shaped my professional path in equity research and data science but also ignited my passion for sharing knowledge in a structured, comprehensible manner.

During my graduate studies at Duke, I served as a teaching assistant, which involved conducting weekly sessions, grading assignments, and providing one-on-one assistance to students grappling with complex economic and mathematical theories and applications. This role was pivotal in honing my ability to communicate complex information effectively and adapting my teaching methods to fit diverse learning styles.

Additionally, my early tutoring experience during college and subsequent role with Varsity Tutors allowed me to work with students across a variety of subjects, from introductory mathematics to advanced mathematics, physics, and statistics. My tutoring style is highly adaptive, focusing on understanding each student's unique challenges and learning pace. I’ve developed engaging, interactive lessons that foster a deep understanding of the material, enhancing both classroom performance and practical application skills.

I am eager to bring this blend of rigorous academic training and hands-on problem-solving to more students, helping them achieve their own success in subjects ranging from basic algebra to advanced finance, statistics, calculus, mechanics, real analysis, and differential equations. My goal is to make learning both enjoyable and impactful, preparing students not just for exams but for real-world applications of their knowledge.

Actuarial Science

Actuarial Science

For over 10 years I have worked as a data scientist working in actuary science such as probability distributions, statistics, and overall discrete mathematics. These are the foundations to actuary mathematics and I have tutored / taught the subject to numerous students to help them prepare for actuary exams such as the P Exam.
AMC (Competition math)

AMC (Competition math)

Having majored in mathematics and physics with over 10 years of teaching/tutoring experience, and taking the AMC exams in middle school, I understand the problems and dynamics of preparing for the AMC. I have tutored the subject exams for over 6 years and know the best ways to prepare for the time exams and help students perform very well.
Biostatistics

Biostatistics

I majored in mathematics and physics, and did plenty of undergrad work in biostatistics, relating causality models with gene splicing methods. I can tutor the subject of biostatistics at a beginner and advanced level through a variety of programming languages as well such as R, Python, MATLAB.
Computer Science

Computer Science

Hello, as a math and physics major most of my research revolved around using computer science modules for my research. Such as developing modules, scripts, and unit tests for a variety of classes I built. I also utilize computer science on my day to day work in the private sector. I have many years of experience using computer science in my life and am comfortable teaching it.
Data Analysis

Data Analysis

I worked as a data scientist / engineer now for over 10 years specializing in machine learning. Everything from sourcing data to building robust ETL pipelines is my responsibility as well as model development for matrix reduction of data and sparse data. My background in mathematics and physics also helps me understand the distributions of data and how to optimize model development.
Data Science

Data Science

I work full time as a data scientists, optimizing ETL and ELT pipeline development. I also build new models for decomposing noisy data into relevant features for estimation purposes using a variety of operators like L1, L2, and PCA.
Discrete Math

Discrete Math

Hello, I double majored maths and physics, and earned a masters degree in maths. Discrete maths / combinatorics is standard course we must excel in as a math major. I tutored and taught the course numerous times for numerous years as an undergrad and grad student.
Econometrics

Econometrics

I worked as a data scientist / engineer now for over 10 years specializing in machine learning. Everything from sourcing data to building robust ETL pipelines is my responsibility as well as model development for matrix reduction of data and sparse data. My background in mathematics, econometrics and physics also helps me understand the distributions of data, what is the best model to use to generalize the distribution and what is the economic impact. Moreover, I utilize econometric models like GARCH and ARIMA for various economic problems at work.
Finite Math

Finite Math

I double majored maths and physics, and earned a masters degree in maths. Discrete maths/ finite maths / combinatorics is standard course we must excel in as a math major. I tutored and taught the course numerous times for numerous years as an undergrad and grad student.
MATLAB

MATLAB

I utilize MATLAB regularly for my research. I build and contribute to model development and MATLAB helps make this easier. I have used MATLAB for over 10 years. It is a mandatory software math and physics majors utilize for their undergrad research.
Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

As a maths and physics major, we were required to take various coursework in mechanical engineering like finite element analysis and others. I have experience tutoring the coursework for undergrad mech engineering majors.
Real Analysis

Real Analysis

I studied pure mathematics in undergrad and graduate school where real analysis is a fundamental component to our coursework. Specifically, the subjects of convergence the divergence theorems as well as Measure Theory were all integral to our curriculum. I am more than qualified to tutor the subject at the undergrad and graduate level having tutored them previously.
STATA

STATA

I was a maths and physics major for my undergrad degrees, we had to utilize STATA for much of our research for time series data. I was able to excel in utilizing STATA software for estimation and trend analysis purposes and I use it seldomly now as a Data Engineer.
Tableau

Tableau

I worked as a data scientist / engineer now for over 10 years specializing in machine learning. Everything from sourcing data to building robust ETL pipelines is my responsibility as well as model development for matrix reduction of data and sparse data. My background in mathematics and physics also helps me understand the distributions of data and how to optimize model development. Using these tools I develop dashboards in tableau for portfolio managers to make trading decisions based on them.
