I have a bachelor’s degree in social studies, a master’s degree in Reading and a Doctoral degree in Special Education. My GPAs were 3.857 for my bachelor’s, 4.0 for my master’s and 3.87 for my Doctoral degree. I am certified in the state of Florida to teach Reading, Social Studies, ESOL and Special Education. I have worked in the Florida public school system, both online and in the classroom since 2002, and I have helped shape the minds of hundreds of students at the elementary and middle school levels.
My expertise goes beyond the traditional classroom. I lived and worked in Italy from 1987 to 2001, where I taught English to adult learners at Wall Street Institute, a language school, in Milan. I am fluent in Italian with a native-level proficiency in speaking and writing. My time in Italy not only enriched my understanding of global educational practices but also sharpened my language skills, allowing me to offer bilingual tutoring services with cultural sensitivity and insight.

Writing is difficult and during my many years as a classroom teacher I have seen many students sit in front of an essay prompt not knowing where to start. I can help with that. I have been tutoring writing online for quite a while. We will start off small and easy with topics that are familiar and interesting for the student, but we can work up to full-blown college ready papers. My own writing experience includes a doctoral dissertation for my Doctor of Education degree and collaboration on published articles in specialized journals. It even includes a graduate level thesis in Italian when I studied in Milan. You can be sure I know what it takes to help students develop their writing skills.
