I hold a master’s degree in English Literature from Carnegie Mellon University (4.0 GPA) and have over seven years of tutoring experience across K–12 and college-level settings. My background includes formal teacher training through Teach For America as well as university-level instructional at Florida State University. I specialize in reading comprehension, academic writing, and speech and debate coaching.
I graduated summa cum laude from Florida State University with a double major in English Literature and Sociology and am working toward a career as an English professor. My tutoring approach is highly individualized—I create tailored lesson plans based on each student’s goals, learning style, and skill level. I’m known for being patient, organized, and reliable, and I communicate consistently with parents about progress and areas of growth.
My students consistently see improvement in writing clarity, reading comprehension, critical-thinking skills, and overall academic confidence. I also bring extensive competitive Speech and Debate experience, including Extemporaneous, Lincoln-Douglas, Public Forum, Congressional Debate, and World Schools Debate, and judge competitions regularly.
