My journey started in high school. I attended a prestigious and competitive school where the academic bar was set extremely high and students who couldn't keep up didn't get to stay. I watched my friends struggle and I knew that being smart wasn't their problem. Being taught well was. So I started tutoring them myself, and it worked, and some of my friends got to stay! That experience planted something in me that never left: a deep belief that any student can learn any subject... they just need someone who can explain it the right way.
That belief followed me into programs like Math and Reading Pals, where I had the privilege of working with mostly under performing children who had been overlooked by systems that moved too fast and cared too little. Watching those students have their "aha" moment was, and still is, one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
Through all of that I earned my Master's degree in Health Sciences from Meharry Medical College and built a career in the healthcare industry. Today I bring all of that; the academic rigor, the real-world experience, and the genuine desire to see my students succeed into every single session.
I work with students from middle school through graduate level across biology, anatomy and physiology, health sciences, general science, reading, and math. Whether you are a pre-med student working through a tough course, a high schooler preparing for an AP exam, or a middle schooler who just needs the material explained in a way that actually makes sense then you are in the right place.
