We worked with Emily for about 10 sessions to support my daughter, a high school junior taking an intensive six-week college Calculus II course. We met four times before the class started to help her prepare, then continued with weekly sessions throughout the six-week course. This arrangement worked out very well, and my daughter finished the class with an A. As a parent, I appreciate that Emily is responsive to my messages and receptive to feedback and suggestions. When I’ve raised an area of concern, she has offered thoughtful ideas about how to better use the tutoring time and what concepts or skills may need more attention. She has been open-minded and positive in our communication. My daughter finds Emily helpful, patient, and focused during their sessions. She explains the material clearly, stays on point, and has very good knowledge of the subject matter. She is also pleasant and respectful to work with, which made the sessions comfortable and productive. Overall, Emily has been a reliable and supportive tutor.
