I tutor students in College/University & K-12 and have 7+ yrs of experience as an online/remote Tutor. I specialize in undergraduate Math, but also frequently tutor Physics, Economics, and English/Writing.

I love Math & always hope that my enthusiasm/encouragement can help students, whether they are looking to progress in Math or just complete their required courses. I have found that all students will hit a group of Mathematical concepts that just do not click, whether it is early in K-12 or not until 3rd-4th year university level Math. It can be very frustrating, especially when it is difficult or even impossible to obtain the necessary help from teachers, campus tutors, etc.

The primary goal of hiring a tutor is to receive individualized assistance & a customized approach. That is why I tailor my explanations to each student's learning style. For instance, some students prefer that I look over their work & just give them hints when they get stuck. Other students prefer to provide me with specific questions they are stuck on, & have me show them as a tutorial. I particularly try to focus on the underlying concepts & provide the student with context as to how each concept matters. Far too often, students are told to do things a certain way, but they are not told why nor even how it pertains overall.

I have a BS in Mathematics from Stockton University. During college, I developed study groups in Partial Diff Eq, Engineering Graphics, & Adv Discrete Math. I was also Treasurer of Stockton's Math Club, which focused on assisting local students & hosted an annual Math Mayhem competition between 12 N.J. High Schools

My scores qualified me to receive the Presidents Scholarship, which was a full tuition scholarship at a local community college. I proceeded to earn my AA and then transfer to Stockton University. I graduated with a BS in Math and have over 7 years of experience as an online Tutor. I tutor all levels through K-12 to College/University in nearly all subjects. My specialty is Math and I love to help students "connect the dots," as Math is often such a hindrance for so many students unless they get the assistance they need.

She was very patient and thorough with our 16-year-old doing Algebra 2. I could never get him to sit with me on this for more than 10 minutes, so it was wonderful seeing him actually doing math for an entire hour. She explained concepts better than the teacher did, which helped him to understand them better. It was a great experience.
