I’ve been studying with Mrs. Martin for over three years, and I’m incredibly grateful for her support and guidance throughout that time. She is not only very knowledgeable and professional, but also one of the most patient and encouraging teachers I’ve ever had. Mrs. Martin always creates a comfortable learning environment where I feel supported and motivated to improve. She explains concepts clearly, is always willing to answer questions, and genuinely cares about her students’ progress. Her encouragement has helped me become more confident academically and more motivated in my studies overall. I truly appreciate all the time and effort she has invested in helping me grow as a student. It has been a wonderful learning experience, and I’m very thankful to continue learning with her.

Engaging, encouraging and respectful tutor

Jeanie has been a wonderful support for our two sons. Our eldest started with her in 7th grade to address low standardized test scores despite having fine grades. Jeanie has been engaging, encouraging, and respectful, giving him the courage to grow into a confident, independent student. His early challenges with grammar, spelling, and vocabulary have greatly improved. Most importantly, he has the confidence to work through academic frustrations independently as he prepares for the SATs and college applications. Our youngest started in 4th grade and is now a 6th grader. Having experienced COVID distance learning in the 1st grade, his learning stamina was short and his frustration was high. He struggled with anxiety and low self-esteem, making us hesitant about virtual tutoring. However, Jeanie connected with him at his level with immense patience. She transformed learning from a dreaded chore into a positive experience. While our goals weren't centered on high grades, but rather on his independent focus and stamina for the transition to middle school, we were delighted to see his recent test scores show an amazing 87% growth from Fall to Spring. Jeanie has been an integral part of both of our boys' journeys, and we are incredibly thankful for the independent foundation she has helped them build.

So helpful with essays

We had a quick turnaround needed for private school application essays, and Jeanie really helped our daughter discover her own talents and articulate it wonderfully, so easy to work with and so helpful and responsive.

Excellent tutor!

Jeanie is the best tutor I've had! She is super nice, knowledgeable, and sets her students up for success. I approached her with a research project I had to do for my English class and she provided beyond helpful lessons and teachings. She works very well with each student and really gets to know learning styles. She is very encouraging! I more than recommend her if you are seeking tutoring :)

excellent tutor that tries to understand what makes a student tick

Jeanie has been a great tutor for my son who was a mix of very advanced in some language arts skills and not quite at grade level in others. Jeanie figured out a program to advance my son in all around. His writing improved dramatically over a few weeks.
